Yes. Searching, comparing and contacting businesses on BestCompare is free for everyone.

Paid placements appear in a labelled Sponsored section, separate from organic results. Within the organic group, results are ordered by suburb proximity. You can change the order and use filters to narrow results.

How does BestCompare make money?

Accepted Answer

Mainly from businesses that pay for placement or for services such as the Website Builder. Read more on our How we make money page.

What is the difference between Website Builder and Website Design?

Website Builder is a site BestCompare hosts for you, at $49 AUD per month. You edit it yourself. You can cancel any time and keep access until the end of the period you have paid for. Question 13

Do these prices include GST?

Sponsored Placement: GST is not calculated at checkout. This is not a tax invoice. Website Builder checkout does not calculate GST either, and the invoice is not a tax invoice. The Website Builder price is $49 AUD per month.

What happens if I cancel Website Builder?

Accepted Answer

You keep access until the end of the period you have already paid for. Your published website then stays online for a short period before it is unpublished. See our cancellation policy for the full timeline.

Question 17

Why should I pay BestCompare at all?

Accepted Answer

You may never need to - a listing is free and stays free. Paying buys one of two things: labelled advertising (Sponsored Placement) or a managed website (Website Builder). It never buys ratings, reviews, or a better organic rank. Read the full explanation on our Why pay BestCompare page.

Question 18

What are Website Design, Maintenance, SEO and Premium Listings?

Accepted Answer

Additional business services beyond a free listing. They are scoped and quoted around your business rather than sold at a fixed price - register your interest and we will follow up.
